At the foot of what is often referred to as 'Norway's most beautiful mountain' lies Gausta View. As the name suggests, much of the view from the hotel is dedicated to Gaustatoppen mountain, which is also within walking distance. If you want to take a trip to the summit, you can do so both on foot and by cable car. On a clear day, you can see about one-sixth of Norway from the top.
Gausta View was completed in 2020 and is now an unstaffed apartment hotel. The hotel has six apartments, twelve family rooms, and fifteen double rooms. It also features a café and bar, along with a restaurant that focuses on local ingredients and can cater for large groups and events.
Just across the road from Gausta View is Gausta Ski Resort. What more could you wish for?
