Ilsetra Hotel Hafjelltoppen is located at the summit of Hafjell mountain, 950 metres above sea level. Built in the style of an old mountain farm using log timber, it offers a fantastic view of the mountains and Gudbrandsdalen valley.
The hotel does not have traditional rooms, but instead offers apartments spread across four different buildings on the property. Each apartment has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. In the main house, visitors will find a restaurant, bar, lounge, and wellness area with an outdoor heated pool and saunas. The restaurant is divided into two sections – Rødstua and Finstua. In olden times on large farms, it was common to have both a living room for everyday use and a separate room for special occasions.
As soon as you set foot on the property, you will immediately sense the peace and quiet and the fresh mountain air. If you are looking for steep ski slopes, great hiking trails, and cross-country skiing trails, you will find them here as well. It truly feels like being at the 'cabin'.
