Telemarkstunet in Lillehammer is designed as a traditional farmyard and consists of eight unique buildings with event spaces available for rent. The site has a history as magical as its surroundings.
It all started with a group of 12 unemployed carpenters who decided to bring their knowledge and passion for traditional craftsmanship to life. With precision and respect for ancient traditions, they built a complete farmyard in classic style, with buildings so solid and authentic that the entire site feels timeless.
Telemarkstunet was completed on 10 July 1993 as part of Telemark County's major initiative for the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. After 15 months of operation, the site was taken over by a private owner, and has since evolved into one of Lillehammer's most popular event venues. Guests can experience an extraordinary evening sitting on the barn's porch where the twilight hour creates an atmosphere that is irresistibly magical.
